Description
Selene is a sailing catamaran made for the unhurried rhythm of island-hopping in Greek waters. Two hulls give her a wide, steady footing, so life aboard feels settled whether she is under sail or lying at anchor. Her cruising grounds take in the Cyclades, the Dodecanese and the Ionian, and her crew are well practised in choosing a bay for a lazy afternoon swim or a sheltered spot for the night. She has been refitted and kept steadily upgraded since, and she is well suited to a family or a group of friends who want space, comfort and plenty of time on the water.
Much of the day is spent outside. The aft deck sits beneath a hardtop bimini, giving shade for long lunches at the table and for drinks as the light softens. Above, the flybridge opens into a generous area for sunbathing, conversation and watching the coastline pass. At the stern, a hydraulic bathing platform serves two purposes: it lowers the Highfield tender into the water, and once the tender is away it becomes a deck level with the sea. Guests can slip straight in for a swim or sit there with a glass in hand and their feet trailing in the water.
For those who like to be active, Selene carries a thorough set of toys. The Seabob draws guests beneath the surface with ease, while the tender can tow the wakeboard, kneeboard, tube and adult water ski across a calm bay. Quieter pleasures come from the kayak and the paddleboard, ideal for exploring the shoreline in the cool of the morning, and the snorkeling equipment opens up the clear water around each anchorage. A fishing rod is aboard for anyone who enjoys casting a line at dusk, and the BBQ lends itself to relaxed evening meals on deck.
Below, every cabin has its own bathroom, a private place to rest after hours of sun and salt. WiFi keeps guests connected when they wish to be, and a TV and sound system suit both quiet evenings and livelier gatherings. A gym allows a morning routine to continue at sea. Her crew look after guests with warmth and attention, handling the navigation with assurance and preparing fine food throughout the charter, so that the only decisions left are when to swim, when to eat and where to drop anchor next.
