Description

Sameli is a catamaran made for the way Greece rewards a slower pace: island to island, with the sea always within reach. Her twin hulls give a wide, level platform that stays settled at anchor, so lunch, an afternoon rest and long conversations carry on undisturbed. Recently refitted, she offers spacious, comfortable accommodation for a family or a group of friends. A crew looks after the running of the yacht and the rhythm of each day, leaving guests with only the pleasant decisions, such as whether to swim before lunch or after it.

Much of the charm of a catamaran lies in how easily she opens onto the water, and Sameli is generously equipped for it. The Seabob and the Yamaha LI-ION sea scooter draw guests beneath the surface along rocky shorelines, while snorkelling equipment makes every clear bay worth exploring. For more energetic hours there are water skis, a wakeboard, a kneeboard and a tube, all pulled behind the tender. Quieter mornings belong to the kayak and the paddleboard, and a fishing rod waits for anyone content to sit at the stern and see what the evening brings.

On deck, life is relaxed and shared. A sun awning offers shade through the brightest part of the day, and the hammock is a rare pleasure aboard any yacht, ideal for a book or simply watching the light change across the water. The BBQ turns dinner at anchor into an easy, convivial affair, with the table set outdoors and the sea still warm below. When the evening draws in, the salon offers a comfortable retreat, with a TV and stereo for a film, some music or a game after a full day outside.

A crewed charter in Greek waters is at its best when plans stay loose, and Sameli suits that freedom well. Short passages leave plenty of time to linger in a quiet anchorage, swim from the stern and decide on the next island over a long lunch. The tender RIB carries guests ashore for a stroll through a harbour village, a taverna supper or a beach reachable only from the sea. It is a gentle, unhurried way to discover the islands, with a stable, welcoming yacht to return to at the end of each day.
