SAMARA

SAMARA takes her name from the sycamore's spinning seed, and she shares something of its poise. She is a twin-hulled motor yacht that runs steadily and economically, and draws little enough water to edge into shallower bays than many yachts of her kind. Her broad stance gives her a volume that surprises guests as they come aboard, with room to spread out on every level. Recently refitted, she pairs genuine comfort with a playful, outdoorsy spirit. She suits a family or a group of friends who want lively days in the water and unhurried evenings in good company while island-hopping through Greek waters.

Life aft centres on a sheltered dining table, with a barbecue grill and a bar close at hand for a long lunch after a morning swim. Inside, the saloon flows from an open galley lined with bar stools to a relaxed lounge, where a concealed television appears for a film or the morning news. A few steps lower lies a snug second lounge with a fireplace, the natural place to gather when the evening turns breezy. A generous collection of board games, from Backgammon and Scrabble to Trivial Pursuit and Exploding Kittens, keeps everyone amused between swims.

The master suite sits forward on the main deck, drawing in light and sea views across its full width. It has double basins, a walk-in wardrobe and a steam sauna built into the shower. A glass door opens straight onto a private Jacuzzi deck, sheltered on either side, where petal-shaped loungers invite a quiet hour with a book. Below, the guest cabins in the hulls each have their own bathroom, air conditioning and hairdryers. Up on the flybridge, shaded cabanas and sunbeds create a garden-like retreat by day. After dark, a cinema screen and popcorn machine turn it into an open-air film night.

At anchor, the hydraulic swim platform lowers to the water and becomes the centre of activity, easily dressed as a beach club with cushions and chairs. From here guests can take out the SeaDoo Spark, E-foil, Sea Bob or Sea Scooter, paddle off on a Kayak, SUP or Inflatable Paddle Board, or be towed on the Wakeboard, Water Skis or Big Mable towable. The Floating Island, snorkeling gear, fishing gear and beach toys suit gentler hours, while the North Star tender carries guests ashore. Yoga mats, a deck shower, a sun awning and WiFi complete a thoughtfully equipped yacht.
