PHOTON

PHOTON is a CRN motor yacht, recently refitted, and she suits a family or a group of friends who want room to spread out. The interior is warm and contemporary rather than showy, with a calm, well-judged finish that makes life aboard feel easy from the first evening. Her cruising is in Greek waters, where a crewed yacht of this kind comes into its own: islands are reached in comfort, anchorages are chosen to suit the mood of the day, and the pace is yours to set.

The accommodation is arranged for privacy as well as space. The owner's suite takes the full width of the yacht and includes a private study, a walk-in wardrobe and a pair of marble bathrooms, one for each of its occupants. Beyond it you find a pair of VIP cabins, a double and a twin with a Pullman bunk, so every party aboard has a retreat of its own. It is a sensible layout for mixed groups, whether that means several couples or parents with older children.

Life on deck is unhurried. The upper deck holds a Jacuzzi, comfortable places to lie in the sun, a bar with stools and a BBQ, with shaded dining in the open air close by for long lunches out of the glare. Inside, the sky lounge is the natural place for a drink as the light fades over an anchorage. Stabilisers keep her steady both underway and at rest, which counts for a good deal when you are sleeping aboard or dining at anchor.

At water level, a hydraulic platform at the stern and the beach club connect the yacht directly to the sea. The beach club also serves as a gym, with a rain shower close at hand, for guests who like to keep up their routine. The toy store is generous: a Seadoo Spark Trixx, a Magic Yachtslide, an inflatable kayak, Jobe SUP boards, towables, a wakeboard and kneeboards, along with snorkelling and fishing equipment. A Northstar tender takes guests ashore, and the crew look after the rest.
