Description
PAREA is a wooden motor sailer built on Syros by Greek boatbuilders, and she wears that heritage openly. A clipper bow leads, a rounded canoe stern follows, and the lines between them belong to an older tradition of seafaring. Beneath that profile, a recent refit has brought her systems and finish up to date, and she is beautifully kept throughout. The feeling aboard is relaxed rather than formal, the warmth of timber setting the tone for days spent at an unhurried pace on the water.
Her guest cabins are all doubles, finished with care, which makes her an easy choice for a family or a group of friends travelling together. Outside, the living spaces open at both bow and stern, so there is always a choice between shade and sun, company and quiet. Breakfast might be taken forward as the bay wakes, lunch aft beneath the bimini, drinks as the light fades over the hills. Above, a redesigned sundeck offers somewhere further to stretch out, read or simply watch the water go by.
The refit also brought stabilisers that settle her whether she is under way or lying at anchor, and in Greek waters that counts for a great deal. Island-hopping means open-water passages and nights off quiet beaches, and both are calmer for it. Your crew can find an anchorage for a swim before lunch and move on to another by evening, shaping the days around the wind and your mood. Starlink keeps you connected when you need it, while a projector, Smart TV, salon stereo, books and board games fill the slower hours.
Much of the day happens in the water. A SeaBob and a Fliteboard e-foil sit alongside a Sea-Nxt scooter, two paddleboards, a double kayak and a floating platform for lazing on the surface. The Oceanic tender, driven by a Suzuki outboard, pulls water skis for adults and children, a wakeboard and a towable. Snorkeling gear and fishing gear complete the kit, and a deck shower waits when you climb back aboard.
