MELI

MELI is a Ferretti motor yacht that carries herself with the volume and ease of a larger vessel. Her interior has been recently refitted in a contemporary, custom-designed style, with bespoke furnishings and big windows that let the light run through the main salon. It is a room built for company: long lunches at the table, evenings with the AV system, a film once the anchor is down. She suits a family or a group of friends who want comfort without formality.

The accommodation is arranged with some care. The master suite takes the full width of the yacht, and a VIP cabin sits on the main deck, which spares guests the stairs and gives them a good deal of privacy. The remaining cabins are appointed to the same standard, so a mixed party of adults and children can settle in without anyone feeling they have drawn the short straw.

Outside, the flybridge is where many guests will spend their afternoons, with the Jacuzzi, open views and a choice of places to lounge or sunbathe. Below, the beach club opens close to the water for swimming and for launching the toys. A shallow draft suits the quieter anchorages of the Greek islands, so MELI can lie nearer to the shore, and the zero-speed stabilizers keep her steady once she is there.

The water toys are a real part of the charter: Seabob, Electric Jetboards, an underwater scooter, SUP, water skis, wakeboard, tubes, an inflatable sofa, snorkelling and fishing equipment, with a Zodiac tender to ferry everyone ashore. Young skiers are catered for as well as adults. Looking after it all is a crew who have been together a long while, and it shows in the way they work: attentive, easy with one another and never intrusive.
