LA LA LAND

LA LA LAND is a Sanlorenzo X-Space, and she carries the idea of space further than most yachts of her kind. Piero Lissoni's hand is evident in the main salon, which is deliberately asymmetric and bright with daylight through broad windows, so the sea is always part of the room. Built recently and finished to a high standard, she suits a family or a group of friends who want room to spread out without ever feeling apart.

The beach club sits at the heart of her day. Sections of the hull open outwards to the water, an infinity pool catches the light, and the lounging areas run straight on from it. Below, the wellness spaces are dedicated and unhurried: a Technogym suite, a Turkish hammam, a massage room and hydro massage pools. On the owner's deck, the forward suite gives onto a private foredeck with a massage pool of its own, set well apart from the working life of the crew.

Evenings are well provided for. The salon can become a film lounge with a very large screen, there is a second cinema out on deck, and an onyx bar and wine cellars keep the table supplied. Dining can move between several settings, including shaded alfresco tables on the bridge deck beside an outdoor galley and barbecue. A sun deck above gives wide views across the water, a good place to sit quietly once the anchor is down.

Her cruising grounds include Greece, where a crewed charter suits the pattern of island-hopping: quiet anchorages, swimming from the platform and a day shaped as you wish. The toys are extensive. Jet skis, a Seabob, a Flyboard, an Electric Jet Surf, towables, paddleboards and full diving sets sit alongside Greyp and Gocycle e-bicycles for exploring ashore, with a custom chase tender to carry the party between the yacht and the beach.
