Description
Kimata is a Fountaine Pajot Alegria catamaran with a modern, light-filled interior and an unusual amount of room outside. Two hulls give her a steady, level ride, which matters as much at anchor as under sail: breakfast stays on the plate, and a book stays on the cushion. Her styling is contemporary and uncluttered, with clean lines and generous glazing that bring the sea into the saloon. She suits a family or a group of friends who want space to spread out by day and quiet places to retreat to when the light softens.
Much of life aboard happens in the open. The flybridge works like a terrace above the water, with sunbeds and seating for long, unhurried afternoons and wide views across the bay. Forward, a cockpit with its own Jacuzzi becomes the place for a late-afternoon soak as the anchorage settles, and the foredeck lounge gives yet more room to stretch out. Aft, the cockpit is laid for meals in the fresh air, with the barbecue close at hand. Evenings tend to drift on there, music low on the sound system, long after the plates are cleared.
Below, the accommodation is divided between an owner's suite and queen-bed cabins, each with its own en-suite bathroom, so everyone has privacy and a door to close. A captain, a hostess and a chef look after the yacht and her guests. The chef cooks aboard, the hostess keeps the cabins and the table in order, and the captain reads the wind to choose where to swim and where to spend the night. WiFi and a TV are there for those who want them, and a gym for anyone keeping to a routine.
When the anchor is down, the swim platform becomes a launch pad. There is a Seabob and a Jet Surf, a Paddleboard and Snorkel Gear for exploring the shallows, water skis for adults and children, a Wakeboard, a Kneeboard and a Jobe Multi board. A Tube, a Banana and a Jobe Binar Towable go out behind the Highfield tender, and a Fishing rod waits for quieter moments. In the Cyclades and the wider Aegean, all this suits island-hopping at an easy pace: a morning sail, a swim in clear water, an afternoon ashore, and a sheltered bay chosen for the evening.
