Description
DAIQUIRI is a Lagoon catamaran made for easy living on the water and for exploring the Greek islands at an unhurried pace. Her broad, stable decks suit a family or a group of friends who want room to spread out: some reading in the shade, others stretched out in the sun, children diving from the swim platform. A catamaran sits steady at anchor, which matters when lunch is laid out on deck and the afternoon drifts slowly towards another swim. She is a young yacht, and her crew take care of everything else.
Above, the flybridge is laid in teak, with a bimini and a sun awning to bring shade when the light is at its strongest. It is the natural place to watch the coastline slide past between islands, with music playing through the outdoor audio system and a chilled glass from the wine cooler to hand. Once she settles into a quiet anchorage, the deck shower rinses away the salt after a swim, and the swim platform makes slipping into clear water as easy as stepping off a terrace.
For those who like to be busy, she carries a generous collection of toys. The Honda tender pulls water skis, a wakeboard, a tube and extra towables, while the Vapor jet and sea scooter make light work of exploring beneath the surface alongside the snorkelling equipment. Quieter pleasures are covered too: a kayak and a paddleboard for drifting along the shoreline in the early morning, and a fishing rod for anyone content to wait for supper. Every stop on an island-hopping charter becomes its own small playground.
Practical comforts let her linger wherever the mood suggests. A water maker, generator and inverter keep her self-sufficient at anchor, so there is no need to hurry back to harbour. WiFi stays on throughout, and the saloon offers a TV with DVD and a stereo for a relaxed evening indoors after a day in the sun. The pleasure of a crewed charter in Greek waters lies in this balance: the freedom to wander between islands, with everything quietly looked after on board.
