Description
APHAEA takes her name from Aphaia, a goddess, and carries it with quiet confidence. A modern sailing catamaran made for Greek waters, she spreads her living space across several levels, so a family or a group of friends can be together at lunch and happily apart by the afternoon. Up on the flybridge there is space to stretch out in the sun, a terrace that looks straight out over the water, and the best seat aboard for watching the sails fill. Forward, cushioned seating catches the breeze. Aft, the cockpit is set for long meals in the open air.
Inside, the saloon is light and contemporary, with wide glazing that keeps the sea in view. The galley sits on the same level rather than below, so the chef works within easy conversation of guests, and the scent of something good drifts through as she sails between islands. Accommodation is arranged around a generous owner's suite, with further guest cabins fitted with queen beds, and every cabin has a bathroom to itself. It is a layout that suits people who value their own space as much as shared evenings.
Her captain, chef and hostess run the yacht so that the days seem to take care of themselves. She cruises both the Aegean, with its clear light and open passages between islands, and the gentler, greener Ionian. A crewed catamaran makes island-hopping easy: she sits steady at anchor, which means a swim before breakfast, lunch served in a quiet bay and dinner on deck as the light fades. The captain shapes each day around the wind and the mood aboard, so plans can stay loose.
At anchor, the water becomes the playground. There is a Seabob for gliding beneath the surface, a Jobe Vanity wakeboard with Maze boots, Jobe Allegre Combo Waterskis and adult water skis, and a Jobe Lunar Towable and a tube to be pulled behind the Highfield tender. Calmer pleasures include Aqua Marina Fusion All-Around ISUP boards, a paddleboard, an Aqua Marina Steam kayak, floating mats, snorkelling equipment and a fishing rod. Back aboard, there is a gym, a BBQ for evenings on deck, a sound system, TV and WiFi.
